Punjab Scholarship 2025 2nd Phase by CM Punjab Launched

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Punjab Scholarship 2025 2nd Phase by CM Punjab, a transformative programme set to cover the educational expenses of 30,000 students annually over the next four years.

Speaking at an event held at the FAST National University of Computer and Engineering Sciences in Islamabad, the Chief Minister said, “This scholarship programme ensures talented students can pursue higher education at premier institutions without financial concerns. Under the Punjab Scholarship 2025 2nd Phase by CM Punjab, the government will bear 100% of the educational costs for eligible students.”

The programme supports students from 65 universities, 12 medical and dental colleges, and 359 colleges across Punjab, spanning 68 disciplines. The scholarships aim to promote access to quality education while alleviating financial burdens for deserving families.

Eligibility and Transparent Process
Students under the age of 22, holding a Punjab domicile, and whose parents earn less than Rs300,000 per month are eligible for the scholarships.

The Chief Minister highlighted the transparency of the programme, stating that all applications were processed through an online portal. Committees at institutional and provincial levels carried out the scrutiny process, which was supervised by a steering committee led by Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.

Significant Distribution Milestones
The Chief Minister recalled that the first ceremony of the Punjab Scholarship 2025 2nd Phase by CM Punjab was held at the University of Punjab, where 2,473 students were awarded scholarships. At the second ceremony at FAST University Islamabad, 2,570 students from the Rawalpindi division received their scholarships.

Additionally, 1,886 students from UET Lahore benefitted under this initiative. Of the total scholarships awarded so far, 1,660 were distributed to public sector university students, while 637 went to students in private institutions.
